No Reserve: Shelby Cobra-Style Go-Kart for sale on BaT Auctions – ending July 16 (Lot #200,597)

This go-kart was designed to resemble a Shelby Cobra, with the fiberglass bodywork reportedly constructed in the 1960s. It was purchased by the seller in 2023 and subsequently refurbished, with the body repainted blue before being fitted over a custom black tubular steel frame. It is powered by a 440cc DuroMax OHV single linked to a centrifugal clutch and a drive chain. Equipment includes a seat with faux-ostrich upholstery, 10″ alloy wheels, disc brakes, a plexiglass windscreen, faux dual side pipes, a flip-up fuel cap, front and rear lights, opening hood and trunk lids, a speedometer and tachometer, an electric starter, and a three-spoke steering wheel. This Cobra-style go-kart is now offered at no reserve in Blaine, Washington, on a bill of sale.

The fiberglass bodywork is said to have been stripped with work performed to repair cracks and scratches before being refinished in blue. Additional features include a plexiglass windscreen with a chrome surround, a flip-up fuel cap, opening hood and trunk lids, faux dual side pipes, a faux hood scoop, and head and taillights. The car measures approximately 84″ long, 38” wide, and 24” to the top of the windshield. The wheelbase is 48”, and the car weighs about 250 pounds.
