Hello everyone I hope everyone has had a good Christmas. I’m coming to you live from the start/finish line at Albert Park to advise the 2026 Qatar Airways Australian Grand Prix Track Walk Series begins on January 11th. This coming year we also say goodbye to the iconic pit building that has served Albert Park for 30 years as it will be torn down and rebuilt with a modern structure. As you can see construction for the race has already started with construction starting back on November 24th. The Fangio/Piastri stand is almost complete while the T1 Hospitality suite, The Pit Lane Exit Suite and the T13 Suite are under construction. The permanent concrete foundations for the new Bridge after Pit Lane replacing the iconic Double Decker Bridge are being constructed. I personally think all the bridges are outdated and need to be all replaced considering the crowds at the track these days. I have emailed the AGP asking by what is happening with the Double Decker Bridge and hope to provide an update when the track walk series begins.
